Clark’s Town is a small town in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica, located in the Cockpit Country, a region known for its unique karst limestone landscape and rich biodiversity. Historically, this area served as a refuge for the Maroons, escaped enslaved Africans who resisted British colonial forces. Their legacy remains an integral part of the region’s cultural heritage.

Today, Clark’s Town serves as a hub for surrounding agricultural communities, primarily cultivating sugarcane, yams, and bananas. It features local markets, schools, and churches, supporting social and economic activities. Its proximity to Cockpit Country’s natural attractions makes it a point of interest for eco-tourism, offering opportunities for hiking and birdwatching.
