Coastal Sculptural Villa

This conceptual single-dwelling villa is formed as a sculptural object, where roof and wall merge into a continuous architectural gesture. The massing is deliberately expressive, using folded planes to create shade, enclosure, and directional emphasis toward the sea. Large glazed openings dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, allowing living spaces to extend naturally onto the terrace and pool deck. The roof geometry performs environmentally as well as visually, shedding rainwater efficiently while shielding key façades from direct sun. Material restraint is central to the design, with dark external finishes offset by warm interior tones and timber surfaces. The building sits lightly within the landscape, avoiding excessive excavation and preserving existing vegetation. The architecture prioritises spatial experience, climate response, and permanence over ornament.
