Cum yah

“Cum yah,” meaning “Come here” in Jamaican Patois, is a direct and often commanding phrase used to grab someone’s attention or call them over. In real estate, it might be employed by an agent showing a property, enthusiastically directing a client to an impressive feature—“Cum yah! Yuh haffi see dis master bedroom, di space huge!” It could also be used during a property inspection, with a contractor calling over a homeowner to discuss a critical repair—“Cum yah, dis pipe need fixing before yuh sell di house.” A landlord showing a potential tenant around a rental might say, “Cum yah and check out di backyard, yuh wi love it!” The phrase conveys a sense of urgency or excitement, making it ideal for moments where attention needs to be focused on key aspects of a property, whether highlighting its strengths or addressing its challenges.
