The Government of Jamaica is the sovereign authority responsible for the administration and governance of the island nation. Operating under a parliamentary democracy, it is comprised of three branches: the Executive, led by the Prime Minister and Cabinet; the Legislature, consisting of the House of Representatives and the Senate; and the Judiciary, which interprets and enforces laws. This government is tasked with creating and implementing policies, managing public services, and ensuring law and order. Its functions span various sectors, including economic development, education, health, and real estate, shaping the nation’s growth and addressing the needs of its citizens.
