Harbour View, a community in Kingston, Jamaica, is administered by the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation and served by the Kingston 17 Post Office. Built in 1960, two years before Jamaica’s Independence in 1962, Harbour View is steeped in history and local pride, with residents claiming it was the first Jamaican community to host street dances and publish a community newspaper. Situated in East Kingston, Harbour View is often described as one of the best places to live and raise a family, thanks to its vibrant community spirit and scenic location near where the Palisadoes spit meets the mainland at the eastern extreme of Kingston Harbour.
