New Holland is a small community in Saint Elizabeth Parish, Jamaica, known for its rich agricultural heritage. Saint Elizabeth, often called the “breadbasket of Jamaica,” plays a crucial role in the country’s food production, with farms producing crops such as tomatoes, watermelons, carrots, scallions, sweet peppers, and tobacco. The area benefits from fertile soil and a favorable climate, making it ideal for farming.

To further support agriculture, the Jamaican government has invested heavily in improving irrigation systems across Saint Elizabeth. Recent initiatives have aimed to enhance water access, increasing productivity and boosting the local economy. With these advancements, New Holland continues to contribute significantly to Jamaica’s thriving agricultural sector.
