Rescission of contract

Rescission represents a legal remedy that allows for the cancellation of a contract, effectively nullifying it and restoring the parties to their pre-contractual positions. In Jamaica, this remedy is particularly relevant in real estate transactions where issues such as misrepresentation, fraud, or undue influence arise.
