Sustainability in poorer countries presents a unique challenge, as these nations are often trapped in a cycle of environmental degradation and economic hardship. With falling commodity prices, rising protectionism, crushing debt burdens, and shrinking financial flows, these nations struggle to earn sufficient income from the production and trade of natural resources.
