Located in Trelawny, Time and Patience was established as a free village following the abolition of slavery on August 1, 1838. Formerly enslaved people named it to reflect their belief that “time and patience work wonders,” embodying their resilience and hope for a better future. Today, it stands as a symbol of independence and perseverance in Jamaica’s history.
